Tell us about your experiences as a carer in West Northamptonshire
Overview
West Northamptonshire Council is seeking views from unpaid carers as part of the development of a new, ambitious carers strategy aimed to enhance the lives of caregivers in our vibrant community.
A carer is a person of any age who provides unpaid help and support to a relative, partner, friend or neighbour, of any age, who has an illness or long-term condition and cannot manage without the carers help.
We want to hear thoughts, insights and feedback from all unpaid carers in West Northants on what aspects of support are effective, what elements you believe require improvement, and your suggestions for enhancing the support provided to caregivers within West Northants.
Currently, the Government is also separately seeking views directly from carers that live in West Northamptonshire. We would encourage you to complete the survey if it has been sent to you. We will look at the Government's published findings to help with our work too.
Face to face and online engagement events
A number of face-to-face engagement events have been arranged all over West Northants as well as online, with the hope that carers will be able to attend, share their feedback and views, as well as meet other carers in their neighbourhood. Please do come along to an event that is convenient to you by registering using the detail below

What happens next
All response feedback will be considered and we will write a report that identifies important themes on what people tell us. This will help us in developing our carers strategy for West Northamptonshire.
We will not share or publish any information which identifies individual responses, but may use anonymous quotes from people’s answers to highlight themes.
If you have any queries, comments or would like a copy of this questionnaire in another format you can contact Hayley McKagan by email at ACC.NCC@westnorthants.gov.uk
This survey closes at midnight, Sunday 19 November 2023.
Thank you for taking the time to give us your views.
