Proposal for temporary accommodation on land off Bird Hill Road, Weston Favell, Northampton
Overview
A full planning application is currently being prepared by Framptons Town Planning Ltd (Framptons), on behalf of West Northamptonshire Council. This is for relocatable temporary accommodation on land off Birds Hill Walk, Weston Favell, Northampton, NN3 8JH (former Lings Upper School).
The site is allocated for residential development in the Council's adopted development plan.
A total of 38, 2 bedroom units are proposed on the site, together with supporting infrastructure. This includes a Community Hub building, on-site laundry, refuse and recycling storage, and an equipped children’s play area. The site will also include an office for council staff to use during working hours, and for security if needed outside of working hours.

What happens next?
The intention of the Council is to submit a planning application for the site later this year (2025). The comments and views gathered from this consultation will be considered in the preparation of the planning application.
