Arthingworth Parish Council and the Arthingworth Neighbourhood Plan Advisory Committee Group have submitted the final version of the Arthingworth Neighbourhood Plan: Arthingworth Neighbourhood Development Plan Submission Version 2022-2029.
As the local planning authority, the Council is now required to undertake a consultation to provide an opportunity for all parties to comment on whether the submitted plan meets the basic conditions before it goes to examination. This consultation is known as Regulation 16 stage in accordance with the Neighbourhood Planning Regulations 2012. The basic conditions are that the plan;

The consultation commences on 29 March 2023 and will close at midnight on Tuesday 23 May 2023.
What is the Arthingworth Neighbourhood Plan?
The Arthingworth Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) has been prepared following the adoption of the Settlements and Countryside Local Plan (Part 2) for Daventry District in 2020 and the most recent revision of the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) in 2021. It also takes into account changes in the neighbourhood area and heritage evidence. The Parish Council also took the opportunity to develop design guidelines and propose new Local Green Spaces.

Who can take part in the consultation?
The consultation is aimed at individuals and organisations living, working or carrying out business within Arthingworth Parish who will be affected by the plan, or are interested in what the plan contains.

What Happens Next?
Following the 6 week consultation period, all comments received from this will be sent to an Independent Examiner who will examine the plan. If the Independent Examiner determines that the plan meets the basic conditions with or without modifications, the Council will consider their recommendations and decide whether the plan will proceed to referendum which will determine whether to ‘make’ the Arthingworth Neighbourhood Development Plan.
