Consultation on decision to designate the Semilong and Trinity Neighbourhood Area

Closed 6 Feb 2023

Opened 9 Dec 2022

Overview

Local planning authorities have a statutory duty to assist town and parish councils wishing to progress neighbourhood plans. This includes the duty to designate the whole, or part, of a parish if the Council makes an application to progress a neighbourhood plan to cover that area.

The Council is currently publicising the application made by Northampton Town Council to designate the Semilong and Trinity Neighbourhood Area. The purpose of publicising the application is to invite comments so that the decision made on 18th August 2022, to designate the neighbourhood area for the purposes of neighbourhood planning, can be reaffirmed.

The consultation is aimed at individuals and organisations living, working or carrying out business within the Semilong and Trinity areas of Northampton.
