The Nether Heyford Neighbourhood Plan Steering group (on behalf of Nether Heyford Parish Council) have submitted the final version of the Nether Heyford Neighbourhood Plan: Regulation 16 Version December 2022.
As the local planning authority, the Council is now required to undertake a consultation to provide an opportunity for all parties to comment on whether the submitted plan meets the basic conditions before it goes to examination. This consultation is known as Regulation 16 stage in accordance with the Neighbourhood Planning Regulations 2012. The basic conditions are that the plan:

The consultation commences on 13 December 2022 and will close at 11:59 on Tuesday 7 February 2023.
What is the Nether Heyford Neighbourhood Plan?
The Nether Heyford Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) has been prepared following the adoption of the South Northamptonshire Local Plan (Part 2) 2011 - 2029 in 2020 and the most recent revision of the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) in 2021. The NDP contains a variety of policies relating to provision of new education facilities, housing mixes within the village and design.

Who can take part in the consultation?
The consultation is aimed at individuals and organisations living, working or carrying out business within Nether Heyford Parish who will be affected by the plan, or are interested in what the plan contains.
How can I submit my comments?

Within your response to this consultation you can request to be notified of West Northamptonshire Council’s decision to adopt the plan once an examination and referendum have taken place.

What Happens Next?
Following the 8 week consultation period, all comments received from this will be sent to an Independent Examiner who will examine the plan. If the Independent Examiner determines that the plan meets the basic conditions with or without modifications, the Council will consider their recommendations and decide whether the plan will proceed to referendum which will determine whether to ‘make’ the Nether Heyford Neighbourhood Development Plan.
