Overview

West Northamptonshire Council has an activity called Scrutiny where Councillors look at issues affecting the people of West Northamptonshire or how the Council works and makes recommendations. The Place Overview and Scrutiny Committee is calling for evidence about the opportunities and issues relating to the use of public rental e-scooters and e-bikes operating within Northampton and Moulton. 

E-scooters and e-bikes provide people with a cost-effective and sustainable mode of transport for travelling to work, university or across the Northampton and Moulton. The trial with VOI, was launched by Government in September 2020, and the Government has extended the trial for a further period of five years up to 2025. The scheme is delivered by West Northamptonshire Council, supported by Northamptonshire Police and is also available in North Northamptonshire.
